Local elected officials, along with students and staff, gathered to mark the groundbreaking of the new 103,000 SF Brunson Elementary School. Michael Graves is the architect on the 10-acre site located in Winston-Salem, between Paterson Avenue and Ivy Street. The new Brunson School Elementary will feature a gym, stage, media center, dining area, kitchen, classrooms, and offices, as well as a mechanical penthouse. The Grand Opening is scheduled for the 2026-27 school year.
